THE CHALLENGE

In a world where we are on sensory overload 24/7, it becomes second nature to be consumed by media, technology, or the daily grind. The goal of the Mind Over Matter Challenge is to help us take a step back from the world around us and to challenge our minds. This challenge is designed to rewire our brains to follow good habits leading to increased happiness, self-control, and productivity. During the month of July you will set goals for yourself, monitor your daily habits and progress, and free yourself from addictive and time-wasting behaviors. By essentially rewiring our brains, we can shift our lives to a more focused path, making chasing our goals infinitely easier. This challenge will be difficult for most but will help us “detox” from the world around us. What are you waiting for? THE RULES

  • Set 3 realistic goals for yourself to accomplish by the end of the month

  • Prepare a productive morning and nightly routine and execute it for 31 straight days

  • Decrease your screen time by 25% each week

  • 30 minutes of social media per day MAXIMUM

  • Get a minimum of 7 hours of sleep per day, quality naps count

  • Get at least 45 minutes per day of physical activity

  • At least 15 minutes of meditation or prayer per day

  • At least 15 minutes of reading per day

  • No drugs (prescribed medicine by your physician excluded), no alcohol, no pornography

  • Identify your addictions (we all have them) and ween yourself off of them throughout the month.
